Dear Parents, 

We’re excited for you to read and journey along 'Called to Go: True Stories of Faith and Hope from Asia' with your children! This book is an invitation for your family to see how God is at work through ordinary people in extraordinary ways.

Geared toward children aged 8 to 12, this book is designed to help young readers connect with real-life missionaries from Asia.  At this stage, children ask big questions, form their understanding of faith, and look for role models. Through these stories, we hope they will see how God uses people from all backgrounds to share His love and truth in different places and cultures.

Each story ends with a Gospel Connection structured around three key parts: Explore, Trust, and Go. We want children to see how the gospel shapes every part of who they are: their minds, hearts, and hands. 

We begin with Explore, which engages the mind. Children are naturally curious and eager to learn. In this section, they’ll think about the new places, cultures, and people they discover in the inspiring stories of missionaries. Exploring how others live and serve helps children grow in awareness, compassion, and understanding.

Next comes Trust, which speaks to the heart. Faith is more than knowing facts. It’s about loving and trusting Jesus personally. Christians must be rooted in the good news of the gospel. Through the powerful testimonies of missionaries who chose to follow Jesus, even in difficult circumstances, children will be encouraged to trust Him with their own lives and hearts. 

Finally, we move to Go, which activates the hands and feet. True faith takes action. Inspired by the missionaries they’ve read, these three words guide children on a journey from curiosity to conviction to calling through stories that are real, relatable, and rooted in the gospel.

Our prayer is that this book will spark meaningful conversations in your home and plant seeds of faith and mission in young hearts. May these stories remind all of us that God can call and equip anyone – no matter where they’re from – to be part of His great mission.
