Reformed Preaching

Proclaiming God's Word from the Heart of the Preacher to the Heart of His People

Used with permission. In partnership with Crossway.

Joel R. Beeke (PhD, Westminster Theological Seminary) has written over one hundred books. He is chancellor and professor of systematic theology and homiletics at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary; a pastor of the Heritage Reformed Congregation in Grand Rapids, Michigan; the editor of Banner of Sovereign Grace Truth; the board chairman of Reformation Heritage Books; the president of Inheritance Publishers; and the vice president of the Dutch Reformed Translation Society.
We've encountered sermons that emphasise intellect over emotion and vice versa. True biblical preaching achieves both, informing the mind and engaging the heart, and leading to transformed lives.

Joel Beeke, a seasoned pastor and preaching professor, explores the essential principles of Reformed experiential preaching, demonstrating how preachers can convey God's life-transforming truth, through examples from sermons by preachers of the past.

This event is scheduled for July 24-25, 2024 at Pantai Baptist Church. This succinctly captures why change is challenging, as hearts are brimming with diverse idols. In this two-day preaching workshop, you'll delve into the myriad idols within hearts and learn to craft Christ-centered sermons using insights from two Old Testament books, Judges and Ruth, with the aim of guiding your audience in dismantling their heart's idols.
